Experience a day full of unforgettable landscapes with a trip to the Látrajarg cliffs and Raudasandur beach. You'll also get to meet the friendly Icelandic puffins, which you'll be photographing all day long!
Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip
We'll meet at the selected meeting point at 9 am and head to the Latrábjarg cliffs, 60 kilometres to the south - the most westerly point in Iceland! Along the way, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of the great Patreksfjordur fjord.
When we reach our destination, we'll take a walk to see the largest seabird colonies in the world. In Latrábjarg we'll meet the famous puffins, small birds with a colourful beak that will become the stars of your photographs.
We'll admire the cliffs, which are more than 400 metres high and stretch for 14 kilometres along the Icelandic coast. As we walk along the edge of the gorges, the guide will tell us some of the most fascinating stories that have happened in the area, such as the story of the ship or the abandoned plane. Are you curious to know what they are all about?
The tour will continue in search of one of Iceland's most famous beaches. This includes Raudasandur, a beach of fine reddish sand and more than 10 kilometres long. We'll enjoy the scenery and stroll along the beach as we enjoy the contrast between the black cliffs and the deep blue ocean.
Our final stop will be the Hnjótur Heritage Museum to learn about Iceland's oldest history, way of life and culture. The tour will end by arriving in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
